About Me
Dr. Md. Abdullah Al Mamun is Professor in the Department of Textile Engineering. He has joined Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University (MBSTU) in 2010 as a faculty after serving in the textile industries for about 4 years.
He has guided many B.Sc. (Engg.) and M.Sc.(Engg.) students and presently guiding several B.Sc. (Engg.) and M.Sc.(Engg.) students. Dr. Mamun has published more than 30 research papers in reputed peer reviewed national and international journals and conferences.
Dr. Mamun has successfully completed some research projects from university and government funding agencies. He has exposed several natural sources for extraction of natural colorants for textile coloration.
His main areas of teaching and research interest are wet processing of textiles, extraction & application of natural colorants, surface modification of textile with bio polymers, natural flame retardants etc.
He is serving as a reviewer of some esteemed national and international journals.

• Worked as the chairman of Self-Assessment Committee (SAC) of Textile Engineering department of MBSTU under Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) funded by World Bank.
